This year Tim Farnhill (some bloke who helped start Preston Vineyard) is running the Great North Run.
Hello!
Please forgive the adapted ‘round robin email, but here we go!
In my latest bid for insanity, I’ve entered to run the Great North Run this year. In case you're wondering, the Great North Run is half a marathon (13.1 miles), starting in Newcastle and ending in South Shields. This year it's on 5th October and, as well as getting fit, I'm raising money for Kidney Research UK.
If you would like to sponsor me (and any or all amounts would be gratefully received), then I’m pleased to report that it's really easy - you can donate online by credit or debit card at the following address:
I know it's a while off, but donations would be very welcome - there's only a tenner on the web site soon and my target is £1500!!
All donations are secure and sent electronically to Kidney Research UK. If you are a UK taxpayer, Justgiving will automatically reclaim 28% Gift Aid on your behalf, so your donation is worth even more. Please join me in supporting Kidney Research UK and a fabulous cause.
The training is starting in earnest over Easter; I’m even cutting down on my favourite tipple….but I'm ensure I'll enjoy watching you enjoy a pint at Bassenfell as I drink a sparkling water......
Hope all is well with you….
Thanks
Tim
