24-7 is a prayer movement that exists to transform the world through a movement of Christ-centred and mission-minded prayer, and here at Preston Vineyard we are fully immersed in this vision.
24/7 was born about 5 years ago, in a Chichester church who struggled to pray. They entered into it inspired by a German church, who hundreds of years ago prayed constantly for an entire century. The Chichester church planned to pray for a month…three months later they stopped. 24/7 is now a world-wide movement that has spread like wild fire. In fact it's spread so fast that it can only be credited to God. Based in a dedicated prayer room, participants take turns to pray, and do it with music, art, creative expression, or by being quiet with God. There is no right or wrong way to carry out your slot, as long as you communicate with God, you can be loud, quiet, sing, shout, cry, laugh. Whatever helps you pray.
