Want to hear all about what went on and what you missed?

Well there was a theme and it was brown, wet and slimy under foot - MUD!

Wellie boot sellers did very well out of this weekend :)

It was our annual jolly over to Yorkshire for Revive.

Revive is the camp where the Vineyard churches from the North of England all get together for a camping weekend,

lots of fun and talks and generally to hang out and build networks.

This year it had obviously rained quite a lot before we got there, and it kept to its pattern and rained a fair amount whilst we were there. Saying that; we had hardly any rain during the daytime whilst we were out and about. Also Jez, Cills & Rachel managed to get sunburn on their faces (so it must have been sunny at some stage?)

The Doyles came along too but due to the mud they had to park their van on the other field to us lot in tents. Many of the cars got stuck in the mud and needed towing out with tractors.

The field or (bog) as we fondly named it, was water logged in places (mainly around PV's part) and so we ended up having to go and buy wellies.

Aud, James, Jez and Cills all trogged off on Sat morning into York to buy wellies for 8 people. I am not sure that York quite knew what had hit them. We were all fairly wet and muddy trudging around the shopping centre asking shops if they sold wellies. When they said yes, they then made the fatal question of asking what size we needed.

Out came the list with 8 names all with differring sizes - the shop assistants faces were a picture!

The main speaker was Hans from Sweden and he talked about the humanity and deity of Jesus. We had some excellent worship and the kids had their own thing going on in a tent across the bog!

Ray and Aud cooked up a fabulous breakfast and chilli for lunch, Lesley had a birthday cake and card and James, Sarah and Georgia stayed up until the wee hours of the morning...... Rachel and Tim brought some rather nice bread & lovely water melon which we had for breakfast along with some scrambled egg a' la Moira.

All in all, we had a great time, a very wet and slug infested time and we got to the point of making up songs in English and then french, about slugs.... (don't ask)

Ray gave us a very short and exclusive wellie dance in the mud - (a kind of riverdance but mud dance) (again don't ask)

The hog roast made its annual return and some of PV lot got prayed for and some pretty powerful words were given to folk.

So here's to next year and scorching sunshine.

See you there!
