As you are aware, Mill Bank is one of our church projects that we support.

Saturday 18th August (this Saturday) they are holding a family fun day.

P.V have been asked to help out by doing the following:

1. Face painting for the kids - the stuff is there all you need to do is turn up and share a couple of your hours for them.

2. General helping and talking to the ladies, gentlemen and children.

If you can't face paint, don't worry. We need people to turn up just for one hour or three. If you have babies or kids with you then bring them too, there will be lots of mum and dad's to talk with and toys for the children to play with.

Please think if you can volunteer for one or three hours this Saturday to brighten up their day :)

There will be food and drinks and lots of fun!

For details of where to come and what time please speak to Rachel Williams or add your name to the forum post that Rachel has posted.

We are expecting things to start at about midday and probably finish about 6pm.

How about coming along for an hour, if we all did that we would cover the whole day :)

As you all know we have given over one of our weekends every other month to an outreach project / activity of some sort. This has been loosely termed our Servant Evangelism Weekend.

That means that just 1 in 8 weeks we will do something different, away from a service here at Fishergate.

That means that we do something in Service to those outside our doors. Last time we went to Bethany house to do church for the residents but by far the most powerful part of that visit was to spend some time in conversation and prayer with the elderly people who so rarely get to have any time with anyone outside their carers and visitors.

Well done to the Synergy lot, despite the technological hitches!

Great service and looking forward to the next one :)
